Have you ever been jogging in summer? I can tell you that a warm day is tough. Start in autumn, and you think that jogging’s going to be great – it keeps you fit and warm. But as the months roll by, each session gets warmer, and sweatier, until you wonder if you should find some other exercise to do, probably in an air-conditioned gym. Gym memberships cost money, though, and as gross as it was getting, I didn’t actually want to stop. I was enjoying my jogs, that feeling of being free and the empowerment of getting faster and stronger the more I did. Being the practical the person that I am, I decided that I just had a problem, and that I needed to solve it somehow. I set it out on paper, exactly like this: Problem – sweaty, uncomfortable, chafing groin area when jogging in warm weather (yuck!) Possible solutions – baby powder, stop jogging, different clothes?, jog earlier in the morning I thought it would be simple – I’d just go through each possible solution, and see what happened. It was like a personal science experiment. The problem with that was, I had to go through each one several times, and nothing was helping. To be fair, I had gone the cheapskate route – I didn’t want to spend a lot on new exercise gear only to find out I could’ve bought a cheap tub of baby powder – but eventually, I only had one solution left: change my clothes
I couldn’t buy every single pair of sweat-wicking leggings out there – I’d be broke! So, I went online to find reviews, and to talk to other joggers. Their recommendation was clear: FullCommando leggings. I was definitely skeptical at first – it sounded unhygienic and went against every social norm I knew. But the more I looked into it, the more sense it made. And if I thought about it, it was more my underwear that was the problem than the leggings, anyway. So, I tried it.

I can’t believe I didn’t try it before, and I have to let other joggers know what they’re missing. If you’re like me, and you can’t imagine ditching your underwear, just give it a try. It’s just for a jog (although you can wear them at other times – my friend wears hers at yoga to avoid VPL). And it’s totally worth it, to go from horrible leggings to an outstanding (outjogging? Haha) leggings solution. I’m never going back – it’s just me, the open road ahead, and my FullCommando leggings.
